Raising standards is about taking whatever we deliver and making it even better in every way possible than it has been before!
These standards describe Yoga Alliance’s requirements for a Registered Yoga School that offers a 1500hr Diploma of Teaching Yoga. If the registered school already offer a 200/250 hour, 350 or 500 hour, the training school must include additional hours into an existing programme.
The Standards for RYS-1500 must incorporate all the Yoga Alliance’s educational categories of study and practice listed below for a minimum number in the presence of a ERYT/Senior teacher. The curriculum of study can be developed according to the school yoga tradition and lineage. A minimum online training is acceptable for some subjects, but not all. Content considered not conducive to online learning includes practicing asana, adjustment, assisting.
