We are an inclusive organisation. We accept teacher that has 200 hour or higher Yoga Training/Yoga Therapy from a registered or non-registered YA-International school.
A Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) credential is earned by yoga teachers whose training and teaching experience meet Yoga Alliance Standards.
A Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (ERYT) credential is earned by yoga teachers if they have successfully completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training and have taught a certain number of hours.
All training hours must come from the same school and multiple trainings cannot be combined to meet the 200-hour requirements.
In January 2019, we reinstated “Grandfathering”). We grandfather senior teachers that have been teaching over 10 years full time but do not have formal certification.
To apply you must:
Complete a minimum RYT-200/250 hour training from a registered or non-registered YA-International school (RYS) (i.e. Yoga Alliance US, UK/Professionals/Yoga Australia or a similar recognised organisation).
The first 200 hour must be completed with the same school, additional training does not have to be from the same school.
Members of other organisations can convert registration from other organisations. They must register with us first
For Grandfathering, resume & letters of reference is required.
Maintain high Standards of professional conduct and competence at all times.
Adhere to the Yoga Alliance-International’s Code of Ethics for RYT & RYS as part of their effort to help preserve the traditional legacy of Yoga and improve the quality of Yoga teaching and practice in the modern world.
ALL RYT-200/250 PLUS/350 must comply with 40 hours continuing education requirement every year.
