Mission Statement

Our mission is to bring inspiration and innovation to every Yoga Teacher in the world! Our mission is what drives us to do everything possible to expand human potential. We do that by creating ground-breaking innovations! For more than 5 years, Yoga Alliance’s story has always been about innovation. In 2013 we pioneered the idea of adding professional credentials to our existing RYT and RYS credentialing system to meet the needs of one of the fastest growing industries in the world. Then in 2014, we introduced and trademarked the CEAS (Continuing Education Accredited School), a concept replicated by another Yoga Alliance in 2015. In January 2017, we were the FIRST Alliance organisation to review and update its Standards system based on the proliferation of low quality yoga teacher training, inadequately trained yoga teachers and unscrupulous providers who deliver substandard training. On September1st 2017, another Yoga Alliance on their web-site announced the “Standard Review Project”.

We believe in the power of yoga to unite the world! Change happens when people come together. Our registered Members have brought the practice and benefits of Yoga to the elderly, cancer patients and survivors, special needs persons, imprisoned persons, terminally ill patients, mentally challenged individuals, stressed-out corporate executives, mineworkers, at-risk youth, pregnant mums, children, just to name a few. They have reduced stress and anxiety, eased depression, bring health and ease to the body, foster self-acceptance and personal empowerment.

We are a Global Organisation that is socially responsible that embraces creativity and diversity! Passion is the heart of our company. We are continuously moving forward, innovating, and improving. We are honest, open, ethical and fair.Prople trust us to adhere to our word.
