Alessia Iacino – Roma
Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT/PLUS) Yoga Alliance® Italia
Born in Livorno from an artist mother and navy officer father, I started traveling the world from my early life. The love for different cultures and the passion for art handed down by my mother began to alternate leading me to study English, French and finally Chinese at the Ca Foscari University of Venice and art, graduating from the art school, following sculpture courses and finally in 2009 becoming a professional film make-up artist.
During my stay in Venice I discovered Yoga in 2006 where I started attending an Iyengar school. Introspective by nature since childhood, I had the existential research as the real driving force of life that led me to the Lama Tsong Khapa Institute in 2012 where I began to intensively follow courses of meditation and Buddhist philosophy with resident masters Geshe Tenzin Thempel and Geshe Jampa Gelek. This path has meant that the practice of Yoga for me is first of all a practice of listening, of knowledge and inner contact. I believe in a practice that increases discipline, space, calm and mental silence, which thus directs us towards the liberation from all suffering. I obtained the Yoga Alliance Italian Division certification of Yoga RYT 250H Plus LVL 1 Teacher training in 2020 to be able to bring with love to others the infinite benefit of this millennial practice.
