The Associate Yoga Student designation is designed for non-yoga persons and students of a YTT. The “Associate Yoga Student” membership provides access to the YA-International’s Registry and enable to teach classes to members of the public and apply for professional insurance if the requirements are fully met.
A Non-Yoga Person that works in a professional capacity as a counsellors, occupational therapists, social workers, school teachers, midwife, obstetrician or maternal child health nurse that has minimum 50 hours Children's/Prenatal from the YA-International CEAS (Continuing Education Accredited School) or a non-registered YA-International yoga school. *Children’s/Prenatal Yoga Training must be done with a RPYT/RCYT qualified teacher. *Evidence of qualification (s) in field of expertise required
A Non-Yoga Person who has completed a RYT YIN 50 or RYT YIN 100 hour teacher training with a Yoga Alliance International or a similar recognised organisation RYS
A Yoga Student aiming to build a 200 or higher Yoga Teaching pathway who has completed minimum a 50 hours or higher training in any yoga subject or a RCYT, RPYT, RYT YIN 50, RYT 100 hour with a YA-International CEAS (Continuing Education Accredited School) or with a registered or non-registered YA-International yoga school. Note:Yoga teaching pathway first 200 hour MUST be completed with the same yoga school
The “Associate Yoga Student” membership enable non-yoga persons to teach Children's/Prenatal classes to member of the public and hold professional insurance and current first aid certificate only if the requirements above are fully met.
Anyone who have completed a Children’s or Penatal yoga training, can apply for RCPYT and RCYT Associate Yoga Student designations combined together.
Applicants enrolled on a teacher training who complete RCYT/RPYT/RYT YIN 50/100 cannot teach classes to others until have completed minimum 200 hour Yoga Teacher qualification.
