YOGA TEACHER & SCHOOL REGISTRATION DESIGNATIONS

Teachers who register with Yoga Alliance International are listed on our online Teacher Registry as Registered Yoga Teachers (YAI-RYT). The teacher registry is a listing of teachers whose training and teaching experience meet our minimum standards.

Schools who register with Yoga Alliance International are listed on our online School Registry. The school registry  is a list of schools whose teacher training programs meet our minimum standards

Registrants may be able to use the Yoga Alliance International YAI-RYT or YAI-RYS logos and wording in all advertising and promotion material.

We do accept RYT applications from graduates of  YAI  non-registered schools providing they meet our standards and registration criteria.

SILVER (200 hour minimum qualification is required for registration eligibility)

Yoga Alliance International recognise Full Registration Status for all Designations listed below. We are actively committed to keeping Yoga and Yoga Teachers free of lobbying.

YAI-RYT 200–SILVER LEVEL (Teaching hours experience since graduating are not required for this designation).

Teachers can register as an RYT 200 if they have completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training program from a YAI or NON-YAI registered Training Provider.

200YAI-RYTs-SILVER will NOT be able to provide continuing education classes, workshops or seminars to other teachers and cannot be a director or principal instructor of a 200-hour teacher training program until upgrade to Gold Level.

YAI-RYT 200–GOLD LEVEL (At least 800 hours of teaching experience since graduating)

Teachers can register as an YAI-RYT 200 if they have completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training program from a YAI or NON-YAI registered Training Provider.

200YAI-RYTs- GOLD Applicants must submit 800 hours record of teaching experience for this designation. Once registered, a GOLD-RYT 200 is able to provide continuing education classes and workshops to other teachers and can be a director or principal instructor of a 200-hour teacher training program.

Important Notice: Designations 200YAI-RYTs-SILVER and YAI-RYT 200–GOLD LEVEL 

Both Designations requires*mandatory*completion of 35 hours continuing education: workshops, seminars and retreats attended, 16 hours must be completed by taking Yoga Alliance Australia approved correspondence course every year after the initial registration date. *Continuing education hours accrued will count towards Level Advancement.

YAI-RYT 350-SILVER LEVEL (Teaching hours experience since graduating are not required for this designation)

Teachers can register as a YAI-RYT 350 if they have completed a 350-hour yoga teacher training program from a YAI or NON-YAI registered Training Provider.

350 YAI-RYTs-SILVER will NOT be able to provide continuing education classes, workshops and seminars to other teachers and cannot be a director or principal instructor of a 200-hour or 350-hour teacher training program until upgrade to Gold Level.

This Designation requires *mandatory* completion of 35 hours continuing education: workshops, seminars, retreats attended, 16 hours must be completed by taking YAI’s approved correspondence course every year after from the initial registration date.*Continuing education hours accrued will count towards  Level Advancement.

YAI-RYT 350-GOLD LEVEL (At least 1200 hours of teaching experience since graduating are required  for this designation)

Teachers can register as a YAI-RYT 350 if they have completed a 350-hour yoga teacher training program from a YAI or NON-YAI registered Training Provider.

350 YAI-RYTs-GOLD Applicants must submit 1200 hours record of  teaching experience for this designation. Once registered, a 350 YAI-RYT-GOLD is able to provide continuing education classes, workshops and seminars to other teachers and can be a director or principal instructor of a 200-hour 250-hour teacher training program.

This Designation does NOT require to complete  *mandatory* continuing education. Workshops, Seminars, retreats attended, Teacher Training taught or books, newsletters and articles wrote may qualify for continuing education.

YAI-RYT 500–SILVER LEVEL  (Teaching hours experience since graduating  are not are not required for this designation) 
Teachers can register as a YAI-RYT500 if they have completed a 500-hour training program  (200+ 300) from a YAI or NON-YAI registered Training Provider.

500 YAI-RYTs-SILVER LEVEL will NOT be able to provide continuing education classes, workshops and seminars to other teachers and cannot be a director or principal instructor of a 200-hour  350-hour or 500-hour  teacher training program until upgrade to GOLD  LEVEL SENIOR.

This Designation does NOT require to complete *mandatory* continuing education.Workshops,Seminars,retreats attended may qualify for continuing education.

 YAI-RYT 500 GOLD LEVEL SENIOR (Has taught for at least 3 years 3000 hour teaching experience since graduating) Teachers can register as a YAI-RYT500 Completed a 500- hour or 700-hour or more hour training program.

YAI-RYT 500–GOLD LEVEL SENIOR must submit 3 years record of teaching experience. Once registered, a YAI- RYT 500-GOLD is able to provide continuing education classes, workshops and seminars to other teachers and can be a director or principal instructor of a 200-hour and 350-hour and 500 hour teacher training program.

This Designation does NOT require to complete  *mandatory* CE. Workshops, Seminars, retreats attended, Teacher Training taught or books, newsletters and articles wrote may qualify for continuing education.

YAI-RYT  MASTER PLATINUM LEVEL (has taught for at least 10 years since graduating)

Completed more than 3500-hour training program and completed additional Master's degree program in yoga philosophy from the Hindu University of America in Orlando Florida or the Bihar School of Yoga in India or S-Vyasa University in India or a doctorate program in yoga philosophy and meditation, as well as other yoga-related subjects, including a degree in Hinduism, Hindu philosophies, and Sri Aurobindo studies from the Hindu University of America in Orlando-Florida, and more than 25000 hours spent teaching training courses or yoga classes.

YAI-RYT PRENATAL YOGA 
Must have completed a 200-hour training program + completed a 70-hour training program, read more: Prenatal Yoga Alliance Inernational Standards

YAI-RYT CHILDREN YOGA 
Must have completed a 200-hour training program + completed a 70-hour  training program, read more: Yoga Alliance International Children Standards

CONTINUING EDUCATION
To maintain registration with Yoga Alliance International registered teachers are required to submit Continuing Education Credits (CECs) every calendar year over three years period before registration certificate expires, read more: continuing education requirements
