CEAS - For Continuing Education Providers

A flexible designation designed to create an avenue for professionals of all kind to become part of the Yoga Alliance community.

Members and Non-Members of the Association and Non-Yoga Individuals can apply!

Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Accredited SchoolThe Yoga Continuing Education Accredited School® (CEAS®) Alliance was introduced in September 2014. The CEAS idea and concept was replicated by another Yoga Alliance organisation in 2016!

The CEAS inclusive of additional specialty designations RCYS, RPYS and SENIORS Yoga is a designation designed for experts or specialists within and outside the yoga community to set themselves apart and teach courses that qualify as Continuing Education hours for RYTs or non-yoga individuals.

The CEAS available FREE of charge with ALL RYSs applications or can be applied for as a stand-alone product. Any non-yoga person doing the CEAS courses can join our online Registry as an “Associate Member” for only $ 80 a year.


CEAS (RCYS/RPYS/SENIORS) Registration Requirements

Registration is open to ALL kind of Experts, RYTs, ERYTs members and non-members of the association and non-yoga individuals with long experience, extensive knowledge, degree or a diploma in specific areas of expertise.

Applicants MUST met the registration requirements and supplement the documents below listed. *A minimum of two CE Units MUST be accredited.

  1. Copy business certificate (Company/Sole Trader/Sole Proprietor). *Australian applicants MUST provide evidence of business registration (ABN/CAN).

  2. RYTs Member and Non Member of the Association: MUST hold a relevant degree, certification or substantial education and experience in specific areas of expertise. *Prior to apply for the CEAS, this category of professionals MUST first apply for “Expert Teacher”, a new designation for consultants and specialists in specific areas of expertise.   3. ERYTs/Senior Teachers Member and Non Member of the Association: MUST hold a relevant degree, certification or substantial education in specific areas of expertise. *May be required (depending on professional background) to apply for “Expert Teacher”.

  4. Non Yoga Individuals: MUST hold a relevant degree, certification or substantial education and experience in specific areas of expertise and MUST apply for “Expert Teacher”.

  5. Specify format Continuing Education Programs applied for e.g: Seminar/workshop/retreat/in-house course. *The subjects may be chosen by the school based on their program’s focus.

  6. A 300 words maximum Synopsys (concise description) of each program applied for.

  7. Non Specialty Courses: MUST incorporate minimum 20 hours. (90% contact hours in the presence of an ERYT/Senior Teacher)

  8. Specialty Courses: RCYS/RPYS/SENIORS MUST incorporate minimum 50 hours (90% contact hours in the presence of an ERYT/Senior Teacher).

  9. To save on the accreditation fee for multiple programs, providers can deliver 20 or more hours in one session or can break down the programs/seminar/retreat into multiple sessions/levels.

  10. Copy Student’s certificate of training completion (the certificate students will receive at the end of the course).
